VERSENE Chelating Agents

Brightness Reversion Control

There is evidence that pulp will revert in color (brightness reversion) when left standing for more than half an hour. Adding a chelating agent will help control the metal ions that cause brightness reversion, reducing brightness reversion tendencies up to 4 G.E. units. Spraying a solution of peroxide and VERSENEX* 80 chelating agent onto the wet lap of bleached Kraft pulp can provide additional brightness reversion protection during storage and transit.
