Pulp and Paper

VERSENE™ chelating agents are important processing tools in the pulp and paper industry. These water-soluble products are ideal for pulping since water is the processing medium. They protect bleach potency by curbing metal-catalyzed bleach degradation; and can actually lower your bleaching costs by maximizing bleaching efficiency. VERSENE chelating agents are approved for use in many indirect food uses (such as food wrap paper) and provide the opportunity for silicate-free peroxide bleaching. Specific uses of VERSENE chelating agents in pulp bleaching include peroxide bleaching, hydrosulfite bleaching, brightness reversion control, and scale and pitch control.
