Dyeing Stages

The presence of hardness ions (magnesium and calcium), iron, and copper can cause many problems in textile dyeing. Precipitates may form and dye shades will vary. Dyes may also contain metal complexes, so it’s important to choose a chelating agent that will not affect the dye composition. VERSENE* chelating agents can control hardness ions in the dyeing stages of textile processing.
